Greetings, my name is Karyn and I’d like to share with you a little bit about us.
I grew up in rural Southland on a deer farm. Queenstown has always been my favourite place as my family had a bach in the Frankton Camping ground from when I was about five years old. Every school holidays were spent either skiing or swimming in the lake at Frankton beach.
After leaving school, I moved here and worked for some time before heading to Australia for a few years. Coming back to Queenstown was amazing and made me realise how much I’d missed the lake and mountains. I’ve been back nearly twenty years and still loving it.
Watching Queenstown grow over the years made me realise how much other people love it and want to experience our amazing town too. We are pleased to be able to share it with you.
My son attends Remarkables Primary School in Frankton. This school boasts some of the most amazing views, looking down Frankton Arm and a spectacular backdrop of the Remarkables Mountain range. My husband Graeme (aka Clarkie) hails from Mosgiel, Otago, but also loves this amazing place we live in. Being a carpenter, he has worked around most of the South Island, always migrating back to Queenstown, where we met in 2011, marrying in 2013 at the amazing Stoneridge Estate, Lake Hayes.
We live on-site in the flat underneath the main upstairs three bedroom house, which will be your home for the duration of your stay.
We have two dogs, a spaniel collie cross, Quinn and our new addition, Bo, a black Labrador retriever. They are in our fully fenced private yard, with no access for you, in case you are concerned about dogs.
If you have any questions or need any help at all during your stay, we would be more than happy to assist.
